Fossil Watches: A Timely Discovery

Warm weather is almost here, which means that it will soon be time to show off your tanned arms adorned with bangles and other accessories. I’ve never been much a watch wearer. I own a couple of watches but not wear them occasionally, i.e. when I feel they add something to my outfit.
Some of the new watches from Fossil, though, may make me reconsider. These ‘clocks’ are so stylish and sharp that I may start looking at my wrist again for the time instead of my cell phone.

Gotta Get Gap Shoes for Spring 2010

As things get busier and busier at work, I find myself with less and less time to go shopping. I’ve started buying more things online. If I do end up going to the mall, I usually don’t have time to go to one store for a dress, another for shoes, another for jewelry, etc.
As a result, I’m always on the lookout for stores where I can get everything I need in one stop. Gap has become one of my new favorites for this exact reason; I get get an outfit and shoes in one place. It’s not always easy to find a brand that does both equally well. I’m really loving the flats and sandals at Gap this season, check them out below:

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear: Recreating the Look

The Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 ready-to-wear show was truly a feast for the eyes. The best way to describe it would be an explosion of rich textures and patterns, including velvet, lace, tweed, florals and animal prints. Your mother probably always told you to never wear these together at the same time; D&G brilliantly defies this style principle.
Layering is a recurring theme in this collection. Never afraid to push the envelope, D&G had models marching down the runway wearing black blazers with nothing but lingere-like leotards underneath. While I’m not suggesting you don one of these combinations for your next outing, there are a number of other looks from this collection that translate perfectly to the everyday setting.
You’re probably thinking right now, “Where am I going to find a gorgeous D&G-esque silk yellow dress with black lace accents?” This is where creativity comes in. Simply throw a black lace or delicate crochet scarf over a super girly yellow dress and you’re good! Complete the look with semi-opaque tights, a black tote and pumps.

Right now, I’m in total “research spring trends” mode. I’ve had enough of winter–can you tell?! In addition to nude/tan shoes and sailor/nautical motifs, turquoise is going to be big for Spring 2010.
Turquoise is a gorgeous color that makes a major impact. Below are a few turquoise things that caught my eye.
Large Stone Drop Earrings ($34.50, Express)
Studded Ruched Top ($12.49, Charlotte Russe)
Women’s Faux-Leather Thong Sandals, Turquoise ($9.50, Old Navy)

Miranda Kerr Style For Less

I love it when celebs have their own unique style that they stick to instead of wearing anything and everything that is has been dubbed “on-trend” at the moment. At the top of that list is Miranda Kerr. When she’s not modeling bikinis or unmentionables, she tends to go for simple, versatile basics that create a statement-making look when paired together.
I love the idea of throwing a long black blazer over a simple striped dress and casual flip flops. The final element, a quilted black purse with chain accents, adds just the right touch of sophistication to the look.
