Borrowing Lauren Conrad’s Look

As requested by one of our readers, this week we bring to you the look for less a la Lauren Conrad. In the last couple of weeks I’ve finally been able to get caught up on Lauren’s last season on The Hills. The trailers for upcoming episodes make it clear that her replacement–frenemy Kristen Cavallari–will cause more drama than Lauren ever did in her 5 seasons on the show. While we are way overdue for new story lines on The Hills, I’ll miss following Lauren and her experience in the fashion industry.

Wearing a long button-down cardigan with sheer footed tights, as opposed to opaque leggings, is a great idea that never occurred to me. The two cardigans I’ve picked below offer a more muted color palette than that of Lauren’s bright yellow, striped top. These short sleeved or completely sleeveless options allow you to slightly adjust Lauren’s look for summer.

Mary Janes add a playful, quirky touch to this look. The last piece of the puzzle: a lookalike of the Hollywood favorite quilted Chanel purse. I love this unconventional combination of pieces so much that I’d wear the dark, short sleeved version to a club or a lounge.

We’ve got Lauren’s look down. If only we could also borrow Brody Jenner..
