Twilight’s Ashley Greene: Who Knew Vampires Could Look So Good?
by Anna
I’ve realized that one pop-culture phenomenon that we’ve never mentioned on StealThisDress! is Twilight. I watched the first movie and really liked it. But I’m definitely not one of those obsessed fans. When I read on Perez about how the cast was once again mobbed by hysterical teenyboppers or the latest speculation about the romance between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, I usually zone out. The one Twilight star that I do love, though, is Ashley Greene.
A combination of white, cream and champagne tones is a beautiful choices for brunettes or ladies with a darker complexion. There is something undeniably angelic about this combination. If you choose to wear these colors, you gotta accessorize your outfit with gold jewelry. That’s just an unwritten law, in my opinion. If you want to literally glow, this is the color palette you should be working with.
As for Ashley Greene, talk about stunning natural beauty! I really hope she gets more screen-time in the rest of the Twilight series.

Kristin Cavallari Look For Less

Kristin Cavallari
Kristin, everyone’s favorite ‘villain’ from Laguna Beach and now star of The Hills, definitely embodies that “California blond” beauty. There is no better way to complement the tan skin characteristic of this look than with a cute little yellow dress. This photo is not very recent, but hey, the look still works!

Halle Berry is also at the top of my “Stylish Celebs” list. Everything she wears is simple and never over the top–and it looks fantastic. When is the last time you remember her being on any “Worst Dressed List”? Right? Just gorgeous.

Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale
Was anyone surprised when Esquire magazine recently named Kate Beckinsale “Sexiest Woman Alive”? I wasn’t. Ms. Beckinsale is smokin’ hot. (An aside: she is also a fabulous actress. You absolutely must watch “Nothing But the Truth” if you haven’t yet–I haven’t seen such a powerful film in a while.)
What I love about Kate Beckinsale is that she is not one of those celebs whose picture is in the news every other day for not wearing underwear or making a fool out of herself in some other way. She doesn’t need to do those things to get attention; her work speaks for itself. I think the same could be said of her style. Understated but incredibly sharp, her look is the epitomy of “less is more.”
I love the “actress off-duty” outfit she is wearing in this photo. I usually avoid wearing all black. While black is amazing, I like to break up an outfit with a splash of color via some bright accessories or a non-black garment. However, in Kate’s case, this combination is flawless. She looks stunning if this comfy casual outfit. Making casual outfits look killer is truly an art.
Before I sign off, I wanna tell you guys that I am the proud owner of the Chinese Laundry ‘Tripin’ boots pictured below. And let me tell you, this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Not only are these over-the-knee boots really cute, they are also incredibly comfortable (to me, this is key because I live in the city and walk all the time). It is definitely not the absolute best quality of suede I’ve ever seen, but that’s fine. Suede gets scuffed up quickly, especially given my active lifestyle. The fact that it’s not top notch makes me better about wearing them and not having to “save” them.

Olivia Palermo Brings Her Style to “The City”

Olivia Palermo
Did you watch the premiere of The City season 2 this week? I’m really happy that Olivia Palermo stuck around. Not only is she constantly followed by delicious drama that I can’t get enough of, she is also has some serious style. Her look always features the distinctive mark of high fashion, yet is wearable and practical for everyday situations.
I absolutely love how Olivia puts a textured red cardigan over a simple black dress. It not only adds a great texture contrast to the look, but can also tone down a revealing dress without sacrificing style. The red element is echoed through the use of shiny red shoes. Be sure to choose a darker, sophisticated shade of red if you worried about looking like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
Throw a skinny belt over the cardi to give the outfit more structure. Finish with a beige, nude or brown handbag, which stands out nicely from the rest of the color palette without creating an overwhelming effect.
