A lot of the past week for me was spent glued to photos of the various fall collections coming out. Just heavenly.
The outfit I’ve chosen today from Balmain’s ready-to-wear collection drew me in because of its chic simplicity. If you do not yet own cropped black pants, go out and get a pair! This classic style is on-trend year after year, it seems, and is one of those pieces in the “mega-versatile” category. Balmain matches the trousers with a loose, zebra-esque print top–a design I’m seeing a lot lately. Charlotte Russe presents its interpretation of the look in a muddy grey, which also works equally well with black bottoms.
You can carry this look into evening, maybe replacing the flats with a slinky pair of heels and adding a cute clutch. The it-factor of the daytime version, meanwhile, is without a doubt the stylish comfort that the outfit provides. This is definitely the look to emulate if, like myself, you feel your best and most confident when you do not have to worry about moving in 5 inch heels or avoiding a possible wardrobe malfunction in a tiny dress.
