Ever since flats exploded on the scene a couple of years ago, Tory Burch has positioned herself at the front of the pack with her iconic Reva flats. They quickly found their way into the closets every shoe addict out there.
This season, the Reva has been updated so that we can continue to enjoy these little treasures. The new plated gold and silver skin prints are, of course, complimented with Tory’s signature logo medallion. The Reva also has a tiny heel, a much need feature for those of us who would like a little lift.
Perfect for adding some subtle glitz to an outfit, they work great under skinny jeans or leggings. And now that wearing footed tights with dressy shoes is again becoming a popular fashion statement, you’ll be able to squeeze wear out of your Revas all through the fall.

Today, I stopped by Intermix, which I think is the store that can make pretty much anyone look like a star. When I got home, I went on the Intermix website to have a second look at a couple of things that caught my attention, which is when I saw the Guiseppe Zanotti Suede Criss Cross Studded Sandals.
Wow. I thought that his Cage Sandals (the background of my Twitter page) could not be outdone. Ha! The man clearly does not run out of imagination.
This shoe has everything. The sexy criss-crossing straps, the stunning combination of black suede and gold hardware. I’m so happy to see that accessories with metallic accents seem to be here to stay. In fact, fall forecasters are saying hardware is one of the top trends for next season. Then, again, it’s hard to not be in style when you’re wearing Giuseppe Zanotti.

There is something undeniably sexy about Victorian-inspired items, which often tend to mix together all sorts of opulent textures. Such is the rich look created by Bagdley Mischka as part of their Spring 2009 ready-to-wear collection, where opposing elements such as delicate lace and metallic jewelry play a prominent role.
There is no question that a white dress is perfect for summer–especially this year, when neutrals are all the rage. Bagdley Mischka uses a sleeveless dress and a short sleeved cardigan on top, cinching the two at the waist with a belt. However, you can easily recreate the look with a lacy short-sleeved frock.
When it comes to accessorizing the dress, don’t be shy! Over-the-top opulence is an important part of this look. A shiny gold multi-strand necklace, as used by Bagdley Mischka, creates a beautiful contrast against the white fabric. The gold element is also reflected by the hardware on the white hand bag.
Don’t forget to thrown on a pair of brown wedges or platform sandals that have either dark jewel accents or even more gold hardware. You may think combining so many textures together is a faux-pas, but if Bagdley Mischka did it, then you know its ok!
