Taylor Swift’s Little Red Dress Look

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift–talk about someone who deserves their tremendous success. Regardless of how you feel about her music, you have to admit that everything about her, be it her behavior or her work, is so much more dignified than that of many other stars her age.
This quality clearly translates into her style. Her outfit at the “An Unforgettable Evening” benefit is definitely sexy. But it’s also classy because she manages to look stunning without showing a lot. That, right there, is the definition of glamor, IMHO.

You Don’t Have to Live in the City to Look Like Erin Lucas

Erin Lucas
For those who do not spend hours and hours glued to the latest and greatest of the never ending reality tv shows like yours truly, Erin Lucas is one of Whitney Port’s pals on MTV’s The City.
I wasn’t too crazy about some of her boho chic-ish outfit choices on the show, but her stunning take on the LBD in this photo immediately caught my attention.
Nude or tan colored shoes can be tricky, so better to wear them with contrasting colors such as black in order to avoid that bland, washed out effect. It looks like Erin is wearing the Very Prive Patent Tan Peep Toe shoe from none other than Mr. Christian Louboutin. I have to admit finding a lookalike pump in that exact hue is difficult. But with so many shoes available in various shades of tan right now, you can get pretty close.
Erin keeps the accessories to a minimum, sticking with one statement ring. We approve.

Stealing the Look: Bagdley Mischka Spring 2009

There is something undeniably sexy about Victorian-inspired items, which often tend to mix together all sorts of opulent textures. Such is the rich look created by Bagdley Mischka as part of their Spring 2009 ready-to-wear collection, where opposing elements such as delicate lace and metallic jewelry play a prominent role.
There is no question that a white dress is perfect for summer–especially this year, when neutrals are all the rage. Bagdley Mischka uses a sleeveless dress and a short sleeved cardigan on top, cinching the two at the waist with a belt. However, you can easily recreate the look with a lacy short-sleeved frock.
When it comes to accessorizing the dress, don’t be shy! Over-the-top opulence is an important part of this look. A shiny gold multi-strand necklace, as used by Bagdley Mischka, creates a beautiful contrast against the white fabric. The gold element is also reflected by the hardware on the white hand bag. You can be at your best look with Tahitian Pearls complimenting the dress.
Don’t forget to thrown on a pair of brown wedges or platform sandals that have either dark jewel accents or even more gold hardware. You may think combining so many textures together is a faux-pas, but if Bagdley Mischka did it, then you know its ok!
